Heart from another time

This place no longer exists...  And in some way, this photo represents the lost love of my life...  It is my third Valentine's Day without my Beloved.

For some reason it hits me a bit harder today.  I am realizing he really truly isn't coming back.  Though I KNOW I will see him again, I know it won't be in this world.

So sweet love to you, my Beloved, my heart.  You are deeply missed.

Feel the Love -Guest Heart Thursday

This is what is left of the sky bridge.  Feel the love--and you can find all kinds of hearts hidden in this photo.  Sissy and I had a lovely walk that day, not too hot, not too cold--just right.  Have a lovely day everyone!

Please be careful.  Since the buildings have been demolished, some people question the presence of surveillance cameras. Don't assume there aren't cameras in place. Individuals who come onto the property without permission, should know the owners are VERY serious about identifying trespassers.

Love in The Abandoned - Guest Heart Thursday

Tuesday evening we invited Larry and Julie over for dinner.  We've been friends for almost 20 years, but I had never heard the story of how they'd found one another.

What a small world!  In the early 1980's, they met in rehab at The Abandoned! They were both injured on the job and stayed at the facility when it was owned by the state.  It is a sweet love story!

This magical crushed glass heart, reflecting blue skies and sun, is perfect to honor this sweet couple still married, still obviously deeply in love after all these years. Fancy that--someone found Love in The Abandoned.

NOTE: If you intend to visit The Abandoned, be sure to get permission from the owners first. If you do not have permission, you may be arrested and prosecuted for trespassing.
