Last Spring Johnny Jump Ups were resplendent throughout the woods surrounding The Abandoned. Neither Sissy nor I had ever seen so many of them in one place before--these cheerful flowers literally carpeted the forest floor. It is a part of the magic of this place. One never knows what unexpected beauty one might find!

I had to laugh at your title - Johnny's got heart indeed! Johnny Jump-Up that is! And look at all those hearts! Soon we will have to go look for more, it's almost that time of year again!!!
Array of blogs...:)...Maybe I should diversify as well.
Great job(s)! :)
Wow, so many beautiful delicate hearts! At least a couple of months will pass before we'll be able to find anything like that here.
I love the colors. And od course the hearts.
What sweet hearts! Glad you found them.
Are those regionally known as Johnny Jump Ups where you are? Where I'm from "Johnny Jump Up" is reserved for violas (in yellow, purple, violet or white): http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/wildseed/29/29.4.html
...whereas what's in your photo is regionally known as "sour grass" and is a kind of wood sorrel (only yellow): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxalis_pes-caprae
