Sidewalks and Streetlights
Next to the snazzy homes being built along the street, where sidewalks and streetlights abound, the forest stands silent. When the wind blows--I am sure the history of this once beautiful place whispers through man's progress. Huge homes stand so close together, one could shake hands across the small divide between them.
Sissy says these are California houses. The very kind of neighborhood which, if it somehow caught fire, would leap from house to house. I hope that never happens here.

He Lost His Heart - Guest Heart Thursday
At the end of the skywalk, on the sidewalk where the great outdoor fireplace stands I found this, er, silhouette of a man--who's obviously lost his heart--which seems to be sitting at his feet. Gruesome--but sometimes that is what one will find in The Abandoned.
For more heart art, photography and altogether fabulous heart stuff from around the world, visit Clytie at Random Hearts for Guest Heart Thursday.
WARNING: Anyone wishing to visit The Abandoned, must seek permission from the owners.
